Darling’s Augusta Parking Lot Improvements

Project Scope
Haley Ward assisted Darling’s on the redesign of their Chrysler/Dodge/Hyundai facility on Western Avenue in Augusta. The existing facility was covered by a Site Location of Development (SLODA) permit from the Maine Department of Environmental Protection (MDEP). There were two separate car dealerships on the property with a large paved parking area for the display of vehicles for sale. The project included the construction of a new dealership in the center of the existing lot, tear down one of the existing buildings, and construct new parking areas. Haley Ward prepared design plans for approximately 500 parking spaces along with accessible truck routes for parts and inventory delivery. We obtained a SLODA amendment permit along with a site plan permit from the City of Augusta.
