Haley Ward Named a Best Place to Work in Five States

Company celebrates 12 consecutive years of recognition in Maine and first recognition in four additional states

Bangor, ME – Haley Ward, a 100% employee-owned professional engineering, architecture, environmental, planning, and surveying consulting firm, has been named a Best Place to Work in Maine for the 12th consecutive year, continuing a longstanding tradition of workplace recognition in its home state.

This year’s recognition also marks a new milestone for Haley Ward. In 2026, the company was recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Florida, with employees in each state participating in the applicable workplace survey and certification process. The recognition across five states reflects the consistent workplace culture shared by Haley Ward’s employee-owners throughout the company.

“Being recognized as a Best Place to Work in Maine for 12 consecutive years is an incredible accomplishment, and one that means a great deal to us,” said Travis Noyes, PE, Chief Operating Officer at Haley Ward. “Our culture is something we’ve worked hard to build and maintain across Haley Ward, and it extends far beyond our home state of Maine. It is incredibly rewarding to see that culture recognized through the experiences and feedback of our people in multiple states. To receive workplace recognition across five states is a tremendous reflection of the people who make Haley Ward what it is and the environment we strive to create for our employee-owners every day.”

The state-level recognition adds to Haley Ward’s national workplace recognition. The company has also been named one of Zweig Group’s Best Firms To Work For, a nationwide program recognizing outstanding workplace cultures within the architecture, engineering, environmental, planning, and related professional services industries.

“Creating a workplace where people want to build their careers is a priority for us, and recognition like this is an important part of that effort,” said Jill Walsh, MBA, SHRM-CP, Vice President and Human Resources Director. “As we continue to grow, we want prospective employees to see that Haley Ward is a place where they can find meaningful work, opportunities to grow, and a strong sense of connection with their colleagues. Being recognized as a Best Place to Work in five states gives us another way to share what makes Haley Ward a great place to work and reinforces the experience we strive to provide our employee-owners every day.”

As a 100% employee-owned company, Haley Ward’s culture is rooted in shared responsibility, collaboration, professional growth, and a collective investment in the company’s success. With approximately 300 employee-owners across Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Florida, the firm provides engineering, architecture, environmental, planning, and surveying services to both public and private clients.

The company’s 12th consecutive Maine recognition, combined with workplace recognition in four additional states and national recognition from Zweig Group, reflects Haley Ward’s continued commitment to creating a workplace where employees can build meaningful careers, grow professionally, and make a difference in the communities they serve.
