Community Celebrates Groundbreaking for the New Cathy Gero Bangor Region YMCA

Bangor, Maine – Last week, more than 200 people gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Cathy Gero Bangor Region YMCA in Bangor, Maine. Haley Ward is proud to support this transformative project, providing surveying, environmental, site design, and permitting services, and now continuing our work through construction administration.
Haley Ward Chief Operating Officer, and Bangor Region YMCA Past President, Travis Noyes, PE joined community members, including U.S. Senator, Susan Collins, and project partners in celebrating this milestone.
The new 82,000-square-foot facility will feature two pools, a full-court gym, an indoor track, and expanded childcare and community programs. Expected to open in 2027, it represents an exciting investment in the future of the Bangor community.
