jtipping@haleyward.comJohn Tipping is a biologist and taxonomist with more than 25 years of experience identifying aquatic insects and macroinvertebrates. In addition to laboratory operations, he is also involved in the field aspects of these evaluations and is proficient with both state and federal benthic sampling and analysis techniques.
Along with surface water assessment, John is proficient in Whole Effluent Toxicity (WET) Testing and sediment toxicity testing, with both marine and freshwater species. These evaluations have been performed for a wide range of purposes including hazardous waste investigations, military base closures, assessment of gross organic enrichment, point and nonpoint sources of pollution, and the assessment of dam effects in association with the relicensing of hydroelectric facilities.
