Travis Noyes, PE, named as Haley Ward next President and CEO effective January 1, 2027
Denis St. Peter, to retire as President and CEO following more than 17 Years of leadership and remain Chairman of the Board
Haley Ward, Inc., a 100% employee-owned professional engineering, architecture, environmental, planning, and surveying consulting firm is pleased to announce that Travis Noyes, PE, has been selected as the company’s next President and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2027. Noyes will succeed longtime President and CEO Denis St. Peter, who has led Haley Ward since 2009.
Noyes currently serves as Haley Ward’s Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President and has played a significant leadership role in the company’s growth. He first joined the firm in 1994 and, after gaining additional experience working for both a municipality and a national engineering firm, returned to Haley Ward in 2008. Since then, he has held progressively greater leadership responsibilities, including Engineering Division Director before becoming Haley Ward’s first Chief Operating Officer in 2022.
As COO, Noyes has worked closely with St. Peter and Haley Ward’s leadership team on company strategy, operations, acquisitions, technology, and employee engagement. His technical experience spans more than three decades in civil engineering, with a focus on site development and infrastructure design and analysis.

St. Peter became President and CEO in 2009 after joining the company in 2000. During his tenure, Haley Ward has experienced significant growth in its geographic reach, services, and workforce. The company expanded from its roots in Maine into New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Florida and most recently Tennessee; completed numerous strategic acquisitions; changed its name from CES, Inc. to Haley Ward; and became a 100% employee-owned company through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan.

Haley Ward’s leadership transition comes during a period of continued growth for the company. The firm has expanded its capabilities and geographic presence while maintaining its commitment to employee ownership and client service. Haley Ward has over 300 employee-owners, been recognized on ENR’s Top 500 Design Firms list for three consecutive years, reaching No. 394 in 2026 and most recently was named as Best Place to Work in five states.
St. Peter and Noyes will continue working closely together to support a seamless leadership transition and St. Peter will continue to serve as the Chair of the Board.
